The Crusader Heart A Medieval Romance The Champions of Saint Euphemia Book 2 edition by Claire Delacroix Literature Fiction eBooks
I will be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this book for several reasons. The first being I thought it was going to be a recycled version of The Crusader's Bride. I am also not fond of heroines who are courtesans and of heroes who don't remain true to vows.So just based on the blurb and the first book - I assumed that I wasn't going to like this book. Happily, I was wrong. Very wrong.
We met Wulfe and Christina in the first book. And a good portion of this book does reiterate a lot of what happened in that book. In fact I would say 3/4 of this story is the same timeline of the first book from Venice to Paris. However, while the timeline and events are the same, they are now seen from Wulfe and Christina's POV and many assumptions I made about them based on the first book were proven wrong/different.
The most important being my opinion of Wulfe. I thought he was cocky and arrogant in the first book - in fact I would go as far as to say he was a jerk. I would liken my changed opinion to looking at a painting from a different angle and seeing more than you did looking at it straight on. Reading the story from another prospective totally changed my assessment of both Christina and Wulfe.
I think I liked this book more than the first book and I can't wait to see what happens with Bartholomew next and then Fergus!
I would highly recommend this series and especially this book.

The Crusader Heart A Medieval Romance The Champions of Saint Euphemia Book 2 edition by Claire Delacroix Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Some repeated sections from book one as the beginning of book 2 the story remained interesting as it progressed. The ending was unexpected.
Too much is repeated from former book. Nice story though. Could have condensed part of it and expanded new story
Wolfe and "Christina's" story was so good. This is Book 2 of The Champions of Saint Euphemia. I find this is my favorite so far. There was passion, loyalty and intrigue to be sure. Loved it!!! I look forward to the next story.
Same story, same characters only from different points of view. Consequently, lots of repetition until just the last couple of chapters.
Wolfe's challenges throughout his life to overcome people's lack of honor and respect leave him susceptible to Christina's need for protection and rescue. Such a good story of true love surprising two people who never expected to find such a blessing in their lives!
Great book! Even though this rehashed some events described in book 1, the author did a good job of not making it repetitive, because it was from others' perspectives and they observed different things. The romance was great! I want me a Wulfe! Looking forward to the rest of the series!
A whore and a Templar knight. Oil and vinegar. They shouldn't want anying to do with each other, right. Oh, so very wrong.
This story is a different perspective of the first book, The Crusader's Bride. A very interesting and unique way to tell a story. Events that happen are simultaneous, but in the first story we didn't get all the facts. Some we didn't like in the first book are now the heroes!
