Mark Fish, a veteran high school math teacher escapes the stresses of his everyday life by entering the world of poker. Although I am not a gambler in any way and did not think I would relate to the book at all, I loved the story! I could connect to the characters, thus evoking emotion from me while I was reading. The foreshadowing throughout the story was brilliant as well! Watching the main character evolve was so riveting and made me want to continue reading. The last part of the book was excellent, showing the parallels between life and poker was very interesting.Product details

I loved how this book was crafted. It isn't a book about poker, it's a book about a tough and unhappy life with a poker tournament as the vehicle to lead a man to happiness.
I enjoyed reading this book very much. It was a book I couldn't put down because it was going to places I didn't expect. I recommend this book to all people who like a good fiction even though they know little or nothing about poker.
I thought this would be a book about the game of poker; which I know little about. It turned out to be a book about the game, but more importantly about life's lessons. Great first book, looking for more in the future. Great read.
