My favorite topics -archaeology and ancient history!

I love stories that delve into the whys and wherefores of a culture, and this one has a mystery surrounding two cultures. Dig up the past and learn from it, or leave the past to rest? That's always the argument. Just as some people are afraid of the future, others are afraid of the past. They are afraid of facts that may be different that what they were taught to believe. Discovering a truth can alter the entire perception of a person, and many people don't want to go there. What they don't understand is that the only thing that changes IS perception. Facts and truth don't change.

Ancestor World StarBridge #6 eBook T Jackson King A C Crispin Reviews

great airport book
Love Crispin's worlds and work, but this was not it. Way too much indulging in personal hobby info(archaleogy and anceint history info) that wasn't relevant. Romance came off as very forced, as in "Oh, we have to have her fall in love with bad boy just to make women read it!"
Lots of pluses, but the alien culture was a mirror of certain human ones. Way too mirrored in fact, so that it seemed like a false facade over the author's hobby again.

Just not at all the story telling I'm used to from Crispin. It makes me doubt that she had much to do with the actual writing here.
i started reading starbridge with the first novel. i read the first three and then lost track of the series until recently. this one is well worth the read.
Great.
Synopsis On the planet Na-Dina, the tombs in the Ancestor’s Valley have lain undisturbed for six thousand years. When a member of the team is brutally murdered, Ambassador-at-Large Mahree Burroughs arrives, determined to find the killer…no matter the cost. Review So far, this is my least favorite of the Starbridge novels. It starts slow and never really picks up. The romance is contrived and improbable and there is way too much technically jargon about land faults and earthquakes and tectonic plates. I was also disappointed there wasn't more about the Na-Dina culture. There was some and I enjoyed, but for being on the Na-Dina homeworld, you didn't see much of their daily life. I was pleased with the bits you did see - in particular the gender discussions between the Na-Dina and human characters. The who-dunnit part was well done, if a bit obvious. Overall, this is a decent story - just not as good as the other novels in the series.
I Recommend to anyone who has enjoyed the other Starbridge books. This is one of the better ones. Enjoy the adventure!
The Starbridge series features good plots, great character development, and a truly interesting theme. Indeed, the books earn a consistent five star rating in my opinion. This is SciFi focused on people, not hardware - a rather rare sub-genre that is nice to settle down with.

During a previous release, there were problems with the publisher - problems which have now been eliminated, with the author taking over and self publishing. As such, I wholeheartedly recommend this series!
